When a hiker opens your stage, your place is right there

- 1A hiker taps the number of the stage they are about to walk in the “Trail Stages” strip at the bottom of the Map screen.
- 2Just below the strip, the “Featured stays” row opens with your place in it: its photo and name (a bed icon until you add a photo).
- 3One tap on your place opens your listing: depending on the details you enter, they can call you, message you on WhatsApp, or open your website or booking link.
Only places on the Premium Plan appear in the “Featured stays” row; when several share a stage, the order changes every day. A stage with no Premium place shows a random few of its places there instead, under “Stays on this stage”.

Most are. Find yours by its name, by stage or on the map: if it is listed, you buy the Premium Plan for it; if not, you add it and buy in the same step.

After the payment we confirm that the place is yours, usually within 1 working day. If it is not, we refund you in full.

How It Works
Find your place
Most places on the route are listed already. Find yours on our map; if it is not there, add it.
Buy the Premium Plan
Pay by card on Stripe’s secure page. With a link from our email the listing is yours straight away; without one, we confirm after the payment that the place is yours, usually within 1 working day.
Add your details
From your dashboard, add your photos, prices, facilities, contact details and description. Hikers see them while your Premium Plan is active.
Questions owners ask
How do I take over my listing?
By buying the Premium Plan for it: that one step makes the listing yours. With the Premium Plan, hikers see your contact details — the Call, WhatsApp and website buttons — your description, photos, prices and facilities, and your place is marked Featured. The Premium Plan costs €169 a year, or €219 for hotels. Without it, a listing shows only its name, type, stage and hiker rating.
Do you handle bookings?
No. We never handle bookings or payments. A hiker who finds you here contacts you directly, and the stay is a contract between you and them.
How much does it cost, and how do I pay?
One plan, the Premium Plan, for 12 months from the day you pay, renewed automatically every year until you cancel. The price follows your type of place: €169 a year, or €219 for hotels. Launch price: if you buy by 30 November, your first year costs €135, or €175 for hotels; every renewal is at the standard price. We email you 14 days before each renewal. Payment is by card through Stripe, and the receipt comes by email. The price you see is the total: nothing is added at checkout.
Can I cancel? What about refunds?
Yes, any time from your dashboard: the Premium Plan then runs to the end of the year you paid for and does not renew. Within 3 days of a payment, the first one or a renewal, email us and we refund it in full; your Premium Plan then ends. The details are in the partner terms.
My listing is already there but the details are wrong. Who fixes them?
You do, in a few minutes from your dashboard once the listing is yours. Most listings started as open map data, so a phone number, price or photo may be missing or out of date. Buy the Premium Plan for your listing and its details are yours to put right.
What is the discount badge?
An optional offer — a percentage and a code — that shows as a badge on your card in the app. Hikers reveal the code and you honour it at your desk; you can pause or remove it any time. We count how many hikers revealed the code and never tell you who. The badge shows only on listings with the Premium Plan.
What numbers will I see?
How often your listing was seen, how many hikers tapped each button — Call, WhatsApp, website — which countries they came from, and how that changes month to month. They come with the Premium Plan, and once a month we email you a short report in your language.
Do I need a website or a booking system?
No. Your phone and WhatsApp number are what hikers tap most. If you have a website or a booking link, add it and it shows as a button too. There is nothing to install and no software to learn: everything is done from the dashboard on this site.
Your Premium Plan is live
Your listing is yours: hikers can now call you, message you and open your website, and your place is marked Featured.
We have emailed you a confirmation with your sign-in address.
Add your cover photo
While your Premium Plan is active, hikers see it at the top of your listing in the app and on your card on this website.
You can change it, and add more photos, from your dashboard.
Confirm your email address
If you did not make this payment, do not confirm: reply to our email.
Listing removed
Your listing has been removed from Via Francigena Walk. Nothing further will happen unless you contact us.
Removed by mistake? Write to hello@walkviafrancigena.com and we will restore it.
